How to Renew, Refuel, & Rejuvenate For A New Week
Ever felt the immense weight of a rough week? As we enter this fall season and start to say goodbye to beach dates and summer nights, our days might start to set in. One solution to combat this is plain and simple: self-care is the best care. In the midst of all your hard work, don’t forget to take a step back and relax.
At Beaumore, we aren’t just talking about skincare when we say “beauty from within.” We value self-love in all areas of life and how it affects your mental, physical, and spiritual health. Here are some tips on renewing for a new week ahead:
Live and Let Live
In order to have a positive week, let’s throw away all the negativity from the last one. Monday may have been rough, but you did it! Affirm yourself for the small victories you had during the week and let it encourage you that you can do it all again. Don’t settle on the minor setbacks— instead, think about the good things that happened.
Whether it’s physically writing up to-do lists or creating a mental checklist, always recognize what work needs to be done for the following week. Create time slots for yourself to identify when you have to work hard, and when you have time to play harder. Just taking a few minutes out of your day to plan will help you feel prepared and confident for the following week. A quick and simple app you can use on your phone is Flora, a cute interactive goal tracker that keeps you accountable for your productivity.
Do Not Disturb
Sometimes we have to hit that snooze button. Find time to rest and catch up on sleep — your undereyes will thank you later! Even just a 20-minute nap can improve your alertness without affecting your nighttime slumber. If there’s not enough time for a nap, do at least one thing that makes you feel stress-free such as reading, preparing a healthy snack, listening to a podcast, or doing yoga! Turn off the notifications and reply to that email later.
Invest in Yourself
When you start to value self-love, it will only outpour and reflect on everything else. Before you can start giving to others, you need to recognize which parts of your life you’d like to grow within. Whether it’s updating your skincare routine, hiring a trainer, or attending a workshop, you’re essentially working to have better outcomes in the end.
All of this is easier said than done, but it’s worth taking the small steps. Working towards the best version of yourself will give you the courage to conquer anything that comes your way, and maybe even look forward to Mondays!
